Eve of Black Cat

Eve is a nanomachine colony form the series Black Cat, by Kentaro Yabuki. She's a little girl who can transform the nanomachines in her body to form weapons and various other things, including a fork and a knife when she eats.

Basically, I find it freaky how much alike she is to Emeralda, I have to wonder if Yabuki-sensei was a fan of Xenogears?

Most differences can be atributed to the fact that Eve has a larger role in Black Cat than Emeralda does in Xenogears. Eve has a number of suplots with her invovled, such as finding her creator, Dr. Tearju Lunatique, and slowly matures and develops as she is also more vocal about her thoughts. She also develops more emotions, such as a possessiveess towards Sven and a rivalry with Train.
